Ingredients :
- 5 eggs
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 11/4 cups milk
- 2 tbsps cocoa
- 3 cups plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 11/2 tsps vanilla
- 16 ozs chocolate syrup (hersheys)
Directions :
Cream sugar, butter and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time. Add dry
ingredients alternately with milk to mixture. Add vanilla. Add chocolate
syrup last. Pour into greased and floured 10" tube pan. Start in cold
oven. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tester (or
toothpick) comes out clean.
